Each of these lunchtime events, celebrating the months of summer, will feature live music and local dance groups and a variety of activities from our local businesses such as free hand and arm massages from Beauty by Jill (June and August); drum instruction and fun from the Lima Symphony Orchestra; sidewalk chalk art; kids’ games; lunch trucks; craft projects with ArtSpace; the Johnny Appleseed educational van with live animals; smoothies from The Meeting Place and more. It’s like a mini-fair and all activities are free!
For the past 12 years, in October, people from all walks of life have come to downtown Lima to hear ghost stories, roam our historic buildings at night, and walk the same streets as oil barons, gangsters, philanthropists, railway titans, and suffragettes once did. Downtown Lima, Inc., in conjunction with Visit Greater Lima, has conducted the Lima Lantern Tours to sold-out crowds. Our famous Woodlawn Cemetery tours, led by George MacDonell, will be offered as well. Tickets are available at https://bit.ly/2lZ90KF
