Each of these lunchtime events, celebrating the months of summer, will feature live music and local dance groups and a variety of activities from our local businesses such as free hand and arm massages from Beauty by Jill (June and August); drum instruction and fun from the Lima Symphony Orchestra; sidewalk chalk art; kids’ games; lunch trucks; craft projects with ArtSpace; the Johnny Appleseed educational van with live animals; smoothies from The Meeting Place and more. It’s like a mini-fair and all activities are free!

LIMA LANTERN TOURS
October 4th & 5th / 11th & 12th
For the past 12 years, in October, people from all walks of life have come to downtown Lima to hear ghost stories, roam our historic buildings at night, and walk the same streets as oil barons, gangsters, philanthropists, railway titans, and suffragettes once did. Downtown Lima, Inc., in conjunction with Visit Greater Lima, has conducted the Lima Lantern Tours to sold-out crowds. Downtown Lima, Inc.’s premier fundraising event! Hundreds of excited women flock to the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center in hopes of winning a gorgeous designer handbag from such luxury brands as Versace, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Cole Haan and Ralph Lauren. Ticketholders enjoy a sumptuous meal and one free bingo card for the evening; additional cards may be purchased. There are numerous prize packages to bet on, including OSU merchandise, home décor, gift cards, wine, an outdoor fire ring and more. A delicious night of fun! CHALK WALK 2019
August 2nd, all day & August 3rd til 12pm
Our city sidewalks are yours to decorate! Throughout the day on Friday and up until noon on Saturday, participating downtown businesses will offer sidewalk space, and chalk, to local artists who want to display their talents. Drawings will be judged by each business and prizes awarded. Details regarding registration to follow.

Children of all ages are welcome to historic downtown Lima to celebrate the holidays alongside local dancers, singers, musicians, elves and of course, Santa! Crafts for kids abound and all activities are free.
